Truth is Stranger Than Fiction Challenge

Truth is Stranger Than Fiction is a reading challenge hosted by Chaotic Compendiums to encourage people to read nonfiction. The challenge runs from February 1, 2010 to February 28, 2011. I rarely read nonfiction so I thought I should take this challenge.

There are four levels to this challenge:

Just the Facts - Read two non-fiction books.
The Scoop - Read four non-fiction books.
The Whole Story - Read six non-fiction books.
Nothing But the Truth - Read eight (or more) non-fiction books.

Since I need to read more nonfiction I am going to aim for Nothing But the Truth. We will see how I do. At least I have until February 28, 2011 to complete it!

If you would like to sign up, go to the Truth is Stranger Than Fiction blog to sign up.

My list of books I plan to read:
1. The Lady in the Tower by Alison Weir
2. Homer's Odyssey by Gwen Cooper
3. John Adams by David McCullough
4. Eats, Shoots & Leaves by Lynne Truss
5. Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell
6. The Confident Woman by Joyce Meyer
7. Marley and Me by John Grogan
8. Letters to Juliet by Lise Friedman and Ceil Freidman

My list:
1. Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi

  2. Caitlin-Thanks for correcting me about the dates for the reading challenge. For some reason when I looked at it I only saw the February 1-28th part and assumed it was only for a month instead of a year. Now I hope to read at least eight nonfiction books this year.
