Happy New Year! I hope you have a wonderful 2015!
My plan for today is to relax, make some resolutions that I will hopefully be able to keep, and spend some time reading my first book of the year. I am also considering signing up for Fit Readers and some reading challenges too. I didn't really participate in any reading challenges aside from the Goodreads challenge last year and I kind of missed it.
My first book of 2015 is Queen of Hearts by Rhys Bowen. I started reading it last night and I like it so far. Last year I started with a heavier book (Me Before You by Jojo Moyes) which was excellent but I wanted to start with something a little more lighthearted this year.
First Book of the Year is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.
Love the cover. I have seen that author a few times this past month. I need to check that author out.
ReplyDeleteENJOY your book, and Happy New Year!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Happy New Year.

Happy New Year! Enjoy your first 2015 book :D
ReplyDeleteSomething lighthearted to start the year is a great idea. Haven't read Me Before You but I'm listening to One Plus One by her at the moment.
ReplyDeleteThat is some cover. Have fun reading and a Hau'oli Makahiki Hou to you.
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed a few of the books in the Royal Spyness series. Hope you enjoy this book.

Me Before You is a great story, but not upbeat. Hope this is a fun read for you!

Here's my First Book of the Year!
Happy New Year Christina and I hope Queen of Hearts is an excellent choice to kick off 2015. Yes, yes, yes join Fit Readers, it's wonderful motivation.
ReplyDeleteI love this series though I'm several books behind. It's nice and light without being too silly. Hope you enjoy it. Happy NEw Year!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great choice. I joined Fit Readers this year too. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteII hope you enjoy your read and have a happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteI've never read anything by Rhys Bowen, but have seen her books around. Will have to check her out. I almost picked Me Before You as my 1st Book of the Year, but decided to go for a lighter book, so I went with Sarah Jio's The Violets of March, which I am enjoying very much!
ReplyDeleteDo join #FitReaders - it's so much fun and very motivating. Do you have a fitbit? (You totally don't need it to join.) If you do, let me know and we can be fitbit friends - also very motivating!!! I've been part of this group (used to be called #BookBlogWalkers) for over a year. Let me know if you end up joining!
Happy New Year Christina!!!
Definitely a more lighthearted pick that should start you off right-Happy 2015!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! I look forward to reading more of your reviews this year!
