Happy New Year and First Book of the Year

Happy New Year! I hope you have a wonderful 2015!

My plan for today is to relax, make some resolutions that I will hopefully be able to keep, and spend some time reading my first book of the year. I am also considering signing up for Fit Readers and some reading challenges too. I didn't really participate in any reading challenges aside from the Goodreads challenge last year and I kind of missed it.

My first book of 2015 is Queen of Hearts by Rhys Bowen. I started reading it last night and I like it so far. Last year I started with a heavier book (Me Before You by Jojo Moyes) which was excellent but I wanted to start with something a little more lighthearted this year.

First Book of the Year is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.

  11. I've never read anything by Rhys Bowen, but have seen her books around. Will have to check her out. I almost picked Me Before You as my 1st Book of the Year, but decided to go for a lighter book, so I went with Sarah Jio's The Violets of March, which I am enjoying very much!

Do join #FitReaders - it's so much fun and very motivating. Do you have a fitbit? (You totally don't need it to join.) If you do, let me know and we can be fitbit friends - also very motivating!!! I've been part of this group (used to be called #BookBlogWalkers) for over a year. Let me know if you end up joining!

    Happy New Year Christina!!!
