It's Monday What Are You Reading (16)

It's Monday What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme that is hosted by Sheila at One Person's Journey Through A World of Books.

Books I finished last week:

Leaving Paradise by Simone Elkeles
A Field Guide for Heartbreakers by Kristen Tracy
Cranford by Elizabeth Gaskell
The Dark Divine by Bree Despain

Books I gave up on:

Numbers by Rachel Ward (just couldn't get into it)

Books reviewed:

Mr. Darcy Broke My Heart by Beth Pattillo
Incarceron by Catherine Fisher
Mistwood by Leah Cypess

Currently reading:

Dirty Little Secrets by C.J. Omololu

Not Quite Paradise by Adele Barker

(It will probably be weeks before I finish this one)

Books I might read next:

Spirit Bound by Richelle Mead

I probably won't get Spirit Bound in the mail until Thursday but I know I will want to start it right away!

Fairest Of Them All by Jan Blazanin

The Devlin Diary by Christi Phillips

I just got The Devlin Diary yesterday for a blog tour next week so I definitely need to start it by this weekend

Goddess Boot Camp by Tera Lynn Childs

Gateway by Sharon Shinn

What does your reading week look like?

  1. I just read and enjoyed The Dark Devine and Mr Darcy Broke My Heart, I read a while ago but enjoyed it. I'm actually hanging off on buying Spirit Bound because I have a few ARC's to read and I know that like you I will want to read it immediately. Have a great week!

  2. Oh wow! I missed that Sharon Shinn and such a lovely cover you think I'd have noticed it on the shelf. We must not have gotten that one. Thanks for pointing it out. I hope it is wonderful.

  3. Oh I adore Cranford! The rest of the books I have not heard of, which means I need to broaden my horizons and go read about them. It sounds like you had a fabulous week as well as another lined up. Happy reading. My Monday: http://www.rundpinne.com/2010/05/its-monday-what-are-you-reading-17-may.html

  4. Wow a great week and I totally agree with your review of Mistwood. I found similar problems with the characters and plot. Great giveaway so hard to pick which book though they are all great. Have a great week.

  5. Oooh Leaving Paradise is definitely something I want to read as soon as I can get hold of a copy. Have you read North & South by Elizabeth Gaskell? I read that earlier this year and really enjoyed it - the BBC TV series is also very good.
Spirit Bound *squees* That's all anyone need say about that right? :P
I hope you enjoy this week's reading.

  11. I just had a student tell me that Dirty Little Secrets was strange. I'll be eager for your take on it. I'm considering dropping everything when Spirit Bound arrives too. Here is my Monday post: Inside of a Dog.
