Waiting on Wednesday (86)

"Waiting on" Wednesday is a weekly meme to discuss upcoming books we can't wait to get our hands on. Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.

This week, I'm waiting on:

Hidden by Sophie Jordan
Publication date: September 11, 2012

Jacinda was supposed to bond with Cassian, the "prince" of their pride. But she resisted long before she fell in love with Will—a human and, worse, a hunter. When she ran away with Will, it ended in disaster, with Cassian's sister, Miram, captured. Weighed down by guilt, Jacinda knows she must rescue her to set things right. Yet to do so she will have to venture deep into the heart of enemy territory.

The only way Jacinda can reach Miram is by posing as a prisoner herself, though once she assumes that disguise, things quickly spiral out of her control. As she learns more about her captors, she realizes that even if Will and Cassian can carry out their part of the plan, there's no guarantee they'll all make it out alive. But what Jacinda never could have foreseen is that escaping would be only the beginning....

Loyalties are tested and sacrifices made in the explosive conclusion to Sophie Jordan's Firelight trilogy.

While I didn't like Vanished as much as Firelight, I am hoping this series will end well. The cliffhanger of book 2 certainly makes me want to stick around to find out what happens in Hidden anyway.

  1. I love this cover. I'm obsessed with hair covers.

  2. I have already preordered my copy and am hoping for good things. The only thing is that the cover makes me think more of Lesley Livingston's Wondrous Strange rather than this series.

  3. Yay!!!! I am going to review Firelight and Vanish in this next week, having just finished 'em!! I can't wait for this book, too!!!! :-) GREAT choice!! -Burgandy Ice

  4. love the colors!!!

stop by my post? I'm hosting an exclusive cover reveal for a fall 2012 YA from Paper Lantern Lit and Philomel/Penguin!

  5. I really need to catch up on this series! I loved the first book---I'll have to make time for book 2 before this one comes out!

  6. I also didn't think Vanish was as good as firelight, but I'm still looking forward to seeing how the series ends!
