In My Mailbox (63)

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren to share what books you received for review, purchased, or checked out from the library during the past week.

For review:

Crossed by Ally Condie

I received this as part of an ARC tour from Around the World Tours. I have already finished it and I thought it was pretty good but I liked Matched more in the end.

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin

I received this through the Amazon Vine program.  I don't know much about the book but I am looking forward to reading it.

Tempest by Julie Cross

I am interested in reading this book because of the time travel aspect and the male protagonist (still I think the cover would probably draw more girls to read it than guys). It isn't available till January but I requested it from NetGalley.

How to Save a Life by Sara Zarr

This is another book I requested from NetGalley. I think it sounds like a really good emotional story.

The Dressmaker by Kate Alcott

I really want to read this one because it is historical fiction and it is set on the Titanic. With the 100th anniversary approaching this is just the kind of book I'm in the mood for.  I am glad that I received a copy for review.

The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh

I was also surprised to receive a copy of The Language of Flowers. I have been wanting to read it with all the good reviews it has received.

From the library:

Come Sunday by Isla Morley

I have been interested in reading this book since it was published but I just now got around to checking it out (though I've got tons of other library books checked out!). I think the story sounds really moving.

Annie Freeman's Fabulous Traveling Funeral by Kris Radish

My book group might be reading this in November so I thought I'd get a head start. I've heard that Kris Radish is a good writer and I certainly love the title.

These is My Words by Nancy E. Turner

I think this story based on the author's ancestor and frontier life in Arizona sounds really fascinating.
