It's Monday What Are You Reading? is a fun weekly meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. I always enjoy seeing what other people have read and reviewed over the past week. It is also a great way to find new books to add to that ever-growing TBR list!
I didn't read as many books this week as I'd hoped to due to a sudden illness. While I am much better now, I don't think I will have as much time to read this week either.
Favorite book read this week: Prom and Prejudice by Elizabeth Eulberg
Books finished:
Prom and Prejudice by Elizabeth Eulberg
This was a really cute retelling of Pride and Prejudice. I loved that the main character is a pianist.
Madame Tussaud by Michelle Moran
I liked this book but it wasn't as good as I'd hoped. Marie isn't always a likeable character. My sister is currently reading the book and doesn't have the same prior knowledge of the French Revolution that I do so she finds it somewhat confusing because of all the many different names to keep track of. There is a list of characters/historical figures at the front of the book that it would be worth paying attention to.
Books reviewed:
Sing You Home by Jodi Picoult
Desires of the Dead by Kimberly Derting
Currently reading:
Deadly Little Games by Laura Faria Stolarz
Ten Miles Past Normal by Frances O'Roark Dowell
What I might read next:
I just finished Madame Tussaud too.

ReplyDeleteI am picking up Prom and Prejudice from the school book fair this week and am excited to read it. Glad you liked it so much, makes me want it even more. I will be looking forward to your reviews on Deadly Little Games and Miles from Ordinary, both titles are of interest to me too. Have a great week!
