Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. There is a new subject each week and this week's theme is "Top Ten Most Anticipated Books for the Second Half of 2017".
Into the Bright Unknown by Rae Carson
On Her Majesty's Frightfully Secret Service by Rhys Bowen
I always find these mysteries so delightful to read and I'm glad to have another one to look forward to this August.
Cafe By the Sea by Jenny Colgan
I enjoyed The Bookshop on the Corner and the Rosie Hopkins books and I think this sounds like fun. I love the cover too.
The Paris Spy by Susan Elia MacNeal
From a Certain Point of View by Renee Ahdieh, Meg Cabot, et al.
Foolish Hearts by Emma Mills
I still need to read her second book which I've heard is fantastic and I also want to read this one. I love the colorful cover.
Daughters of Ireland by Santa Montefiore
After reading The Girl in the Castle last fall I've been tempted to buy this sequel (under its original title) from Book Depository but I am going to wait and get it from the library. The final book comes out this summer in the UK.
The Secret History of Us by Jessi Kirby
The Library at the Edge of the World by Felicity Hayes-McCoy
This book is being compared to Jenny Colgan's and the fact that it features a librarian and is set in Ireland makes it a win-win for me. Love that cover!
Once and For All by Sarah Dessen
Is the Maggie Hope series pretty clean? I love mysteries, and it looks right up my alley!
ReplyDeleteOh, here is my list: http://amandanicolle.blogspot.com/2017/05/take-ten-most-anticipated-books-of.html?m=1
ReplyDeleteI've not read any of Rae's books, but this series has beautiful covers. Sarah Dessen is another author I've neglected to read, but this cute cover and title makes me curious! :)
ReplyDeleteThat Star Wars short story collection looks cool! This is the first I am seeing of it. I'll have to add it to Goodreads, as it would be a great gift for my brother who loves Star Wars.
ReplyDeleteMallory @ The Local Muse
Ooh the Rhys Bowen one looks fun, and I LOVE that cover of the PAris Spy. Not to mention that Star Wars one- THAT got my attention. :) I love that cover with just the droids on it.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I didn't realise Jessi Kirby had a book coming out! So glad she does. I love her writing.
ReplyDeleteOh there'll be a star Wars collective book? Sounds interesting!
ReplyDeleteSo many awesome books! You know I completely agree with you regarding Daughters of Ireland. Loving that series and I am excited to continue with it. I saw you could get it at Book Depository as well and was tempted too, but I will wait till August! I still need to try out those Rhys Bowen books. They seem like something I'd enjoy. I can't wait to get my hands on Sarah Dessen's novel. I already pre-ordered it! I am looking forward to Jessi Kirby's as well and The Cafe by the Sea is a book I just added to my TBR pile last week. How am I just hearing about this one now?!? I love the cover. I will have to check out Library at the Edge of the World as well. I hope you had a nice MDW.
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited about Into the Bright Unknown, The Secret History of Us, and Once and for All. I can't wait to read those!
ReplyDeleteI also really enjoyed Jenny Colgan's books and am looking forward to reading her latest. I will have to check out Library at the Edge of the World so thanks for putting that on my radar. I'm also looking forward to Sarah Dessen's latest, her books don't disappoint.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great list! The Cafe by the Sea sounds really good--and I really need to get back into MacNeal's series. I really enjoy spending time with Maggie Hope! The Secret History of Us sounds good too . . . So many tempting titles!
ReplyDeleteThe Library at the Edge of the World looks amazing! Gives me Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society vibes. Adding it to my TBR! Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteHere's my TTT.
