Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. There is a new subject each week and this week's topic is "Top Ten Books I Read in 2013".
I am still working on my list of top books for the year but here are some of my favorites in no particular order:
On Sal Mal Lane by Ru Freeman
Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell
The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty
The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion
The Bitter Kingdom by Rae Carson
Tell the Wolves I'm Home by Carol Rifka Brunt
These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner
Longbourn by Jo Baker
Rose Under Fire by Elizabeth Wein
The House of Hades by Rick Riordan
These Broken Stars and Tell The Wolves I'm Home have been showing up on so many lists, that I think I'd better read them quite soon. Great list! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteFantastic list! I completely agree with you regarding Broken Stars and E&P. I still need to read Longbourn and I want to continue with Rae Carson's series, because Girl of Fire and Thorns was so good. I am happy to see that the series stays entertaining! Happy New Year, Christina!
ReplyDeleteHeard really good things about Eleanor & Park, and the Bitter Kingdom series seems popular as well. I'm kinda interested in Longbourn, I like stories set in the country houses and the servants' perspective is always fun. Have a great New Year.
ReplyDeleteI've read just one of the books from your list. Am intrigued by the Freeman book. A new one for me. Happy new year.
ReplyDeleteGreat list. You've got some really amazing books on your list - These Broken Stars made my list too. I really need to read some Rainbow Rowell this year, have heard nothing but good things about her books . Happy New Year :) My TTT.
ReplyDeletelove your list. Can't wait to start on Eleanor & Park and I must finish off the Fire and Thorns trilogy, glad The Bitter Kingdom made your list. Longbourn is on my reading list for 2014 and so is Code Name Verity :)
ReplyDeleteThe Husband's Secret made it to my top 10 of 2013 too, and The Rosie Project only narrowly missed a spot - sounds like we have very similar taste in books :-)
ReplyDeleteI read a bunch of these and would agree as well especially The Rosie Project and Eleanor and Park, which is my number one pick of 2013!
