Top Ten Books on My Fall TBR List

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. There is a new subject each week and this week's topic is "Top Ten Books on My Fall TBR List".

1. Crown of Embers by Rae Carson

This is the book I am most excited to read this fall. The Girl of Fire and Thorns was one of my favorite books from last year and I can't wait to get my hands on the sequel!

2. The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan

I usually love Rick Riordan's books. They are so much fun and I am looking forward to this one which will bring both the Greek and Roman demigods together.

3. The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling

It may not be Harry Potter but I am still interested in giving J.K. Rowling's first book for adults a try.

4. Ten by Gretchen McNeil

Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None for the YA market. Sounds very promising!

5. A Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin

I know it will take me forever to get through this book in the Song of Ice and Fire saga but I loved A Game of Thrones and look forward to starting this sequel.

6. Dearly, Beloved by Lia Habel

This will be coming up next on my TBR list after I finish rereading Dearly, Departed.

7. Hidden by Sophie Jordan

I am looking forward to this last book in the series.

8. Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor

The first book ended kind of on a cliffhanger so I want to know what happens next for Karou and company.

9. Reached by Ally Condie

I like this series though it isn't as good as Divergent or The Hunger Games and I am eager to read the finale.

10. The Secrets of Mary Bowser by Lois Leveen

This is a book I have been looking forward to reading ever since I heard about it. The novel is based on the true story of a woman who was freed from slavery and chose to go back South as a spy for the Union. It was published this past May and my book group will be discussing it in October.

  1. I forgot about J.K. Rowling's book! Definitely intrigued by it. I also just finished Firelight and was surpassed by how much I liked it. I plan on reading book two and hopefully getting my hands on a copy of book three - can't wait to see what happens! Great list, Christina!

  3. Some great books on your list. I'm not sure if I'm going to pick up Casual Vacancy as soon as it comes out or see what the reaction to it is first.

  6. I'm also very excited for The Crown of Embers and Days of Blood and Starlight! And of course everyone should be willing to try out JKR's new book - I have such high hopes for it, even if it's not Harry Potter.
